active voice & data has developed our backup software with the goal of providing the most secure method for college students to backup their files automatically every day. Our backup process has been simplified so that once you have installed our proprietary software your job is done. Simply leave your computer on and connected to the internet each evening and all your files will be backed up at our secure data centre.

Each day at a designated time, active voice & data backup software scans your computer's hard drive for new or modified files. Any files that have been created or changed in the last 24 hours since the last backup are encrypted on your computer, compressed, and delivered via the internet to active voice & data disk array at our secure data centre. Old unmodified files have already been backed up at our facility and as such do not need to be backed up each evening.

The file restoration process is extremely quick and easy. In the event you need to recover your files, you just click on the recovery icon found o your desktop and simply follow the instructions and within minutes you'll have your files back and be able to work again.

Image Your Machine, Protect yourself against loss, theft and hardware failure

active understands that students depend upon their laptops for more than just college work. A laptop becomes part of the person and is personalised over the years. But what happens if your laptop is lost or stolen? How do you restore all the applications and settings? Using active voice & data imaging applications, students can create a point in time snap shot of their laptop and this is stored on your 10gig disk partition in active voice & data secure data centre. You can take as many images as you like of your laptop or machine over the year.

Standard Image Package

active has two imaging offerings, Standard image package @ €50 for the year. This standard pack will allow you to restore and image taken back to your laptop.

Premium Image Package

active also provides a Premium image package @ €75 for the year. This premium image pack will allow you to restore any image taken to any laptop manufacturers hardware or even from a laptop to a PC. As with the standard image pack, you can take as many images as you like and these will be then stored on your 10 gig disk partition in active voice & data secure data centre.
